To set up alert notifications on thinkorswim®, click the " Setup button in the upper-right corner and select Application Settings…. On the Notifications tab, enter your email address or phone number in the appropriate fields, then complete the confirmation step. Select the alert types that should send notifications and click Apply settings.

To create an alert, open the MarketWatch tab and select Alerts. Enter a symbol in the entry field to load it, then click a value in the row (such as bid or last price) to open the Create Alert on Price window. Click the Notify me on selector to set an alert on a Price condition, Portfolio metric, Calendar event, News, or Rating change. Define the alert conditions, adjust additional settings, including notification preferences, and click Create.

To create an alert on a study, click the Ú Study Alert button in the upper-right corner of the MarketWatch tab.
